The Meteor'88 is a low top sneaker inspired by the concept of retro-future. It celebrates the late 80’s vision of the future, combining both retro and modern design details. It is handcrafted from contrasting panels of premium leather and/or suede, a rubber cupsole and soft terry cotton or polyester lining. Pick your preferred colorway or customize your own pair. A clean and crisp white and powder pink sneaker, versatile and stylish. All the leathers used in our custom shoes are gold and silver rated by the Leather Working Group and adherent to the Leather Standard by OEKO-TEX®.

Shipping:

All of our products are made to order in a craft workshop in Portugal. After your order is processed, we try our best to dispatch them within 15 days and we will keep you informed about the entire process, from order to delivery.

Care: 

Plain Leather: Apply a thin layer of leather balm and once it’s dry, gently brush to keep the finish of the leather always in good conditions. Opt for softer hog bristles to make sure you don’t damage your sneakers. A leather protector spray is also an option to consider.

Suede: Use a brush to gently remove any dirt or dust. Brush in the direction of the fabric’s grain to avoid damaging it. Dry stains can be removed by using a white or brown gum eraser. If it doesn't work we advise you to visit your local cobbler and get additional advice.

Nubuck: Nubuck cloths are the best option to remove dirt and shiny spots. Wipe in several directions using circular motions and make sure you cover the entire nap area.

Rubber Soles: Clean the dirt with a dampened cloth and carefully soak the sole in a mixture of water and dishwashing soap. Make sure you don’t soak the upper part! Use a toothbrush with the mixture to scrub your soles. Once it’s done, dry the sneakers using a cloth.

Hello, I’m Mário Silva, I’m 16 years old, I’m from São Vicente da Beira, and I study at José Sanches School in Alcains. I’m not quite sure yet what I want to do in the future, but it will certainly be something related to the IT and systems course I’m taking.

I’m a bit shy and even reserved, which can sometimes give the impression that I’m disinterested or inattentive, but in reality, I’m very observant and focused. Perhaps for that reason, I tend to prefer doing activities alone, but when I know people well, I really value teamwork. Ultimately, I just need more time to gain confidence to build good relationships with others.

My experience in the iMAGINE programme helped me get to know myself better, identify and channel my strengths, and work on areas to improve. This learning allowed me to use these skills to build a brand, collaborate in a team, and recognise myself as a creative, calm, and hardworking person.

For the sneakers I personalised, I chose the Meteor’88 model because it appealed to me the most. I chose the colours white, blue, and green because they remind me of happy memories and I used them to convey that idea. |section-left||section-right||section-right|
